Danny is a daredevil in every sense of the word, a thrill seeker who laughs in the face of death. He is always willing to try anything once and if he enjoyed it enough, he’ll do it again. His life is never organized; chaos rules his home as he never plans out his days, weekends or his life. You could say he flies by the seat of his pants. He gets a cheap thrill from being scared and coming close to death; perhaps that is one of the reasons why he joined the Death Eaters. They embody his beliefs and supply a great deal of excitement that is right up his alley. He’ll do anything for them, to protect his lineage, honor the cause and fulfill his need for adventure.

While Danny grew up in a proper household, he still managed to present himself as an unabashed and outspoken individual. Others may think that his parents raised him incorrectly, but that is far from the truth. Those who do know his parents will also know that it is their son who constantly finds himself trouble. They worked hard to bring him up on high society morals, ideals and propriety and while Danny held true to the morals and ideals, he chose when to use his manners. He never followed the rules of propriety to their strictest form and instead went in his own direction – bedding women before marriage, rarely courting, saying what was on his mind, and doing things in irrational ways. Life, he quickly realized, was more fun when the rules were broken.

Aside from Danny’s chaotic lifestyle and personality, he also posses a rather witty sense of humor and is a rather laid back individual. He can be rather hardheaded and quite arrogant. When someone first meets him, he may come off as being an asshole and that is because for Danny there is one thing everyone should know – before he likes you, he doesn’t like you. Unless you are someone he has grown up with or knows he can trust, he will treat you suspiciously and keep a watchful eye. He does have many friends, but they’ve all passed his personal test of those he can truly rely on. Trust is a big issue for Danny – if he cannot trust you, he will not befriend you.

Daniel is of average height, standing at 6’3” and is rather well built due to his current profession. Even during his days at Hogwarts, he always seemed to posses a toned frame due to his high sport activity; a chaser for his house Quidditch team. He was blessed with very good genes as he acquired the majority of his looks from his father’s side of the family – his light eyes and jet black hair.

His attire is nothing to rave about, always looking a bit disheveled even if he were to wear clothes of the finest quality. Danny’s shirts are always slightly unbuttoned, untucked or partially tucked in with his tie loose and his pants just a bit too low. Even though Daniel’s parents did not have quite as much money as some pureblooded families, they still bought the best that they could afford. However, Danny still wore these clothes as though they were cheap and merely picked up at some common robes shoppe.

Daniel Orrick Travers is the first born son of Orrick and Deirdre Travers. Although he came into this world the same way that every baby did, he had quite the exciting beginning. He caused his mother to go through hours of painful labor and when he finally arrived, he came in feet first with the umbilical chord wound around his tiny little neck. It was a miracle that day that Daniel survived after nearly choking to death. From that moment, both of his parents knew that this little boy would be the cause of all their troubles.

As a child, Danny was not finding trouble, but creating it. He was a terror as a little one, curious about the world around him and wanting to touch everything. Many times he stole his father’s wand just to see what it was and to his surprise, every time he pointed it at something, magical things would happen. Plenty of times he’d set fires to various objects in the house – the curtains in the parlour, the sheets on his bed and even his little brother’s hair had caught a small flicker. Even their owl was sporting a unicorn’s horn at the top of his head for a few months until Danny’s mother figured out a spell to remove it.

When Danny entered Hogwarts, he was there with plenty of already made friends – all of which were purebloods of course because his family would not associate with anyone else. There was no doubt in his mind which house he belonged to and without any debate with the sorting hat, he was easily placed into Slytherin. Even though he had his circle of friends before Hogwarts, he quickly picked more, becoming one of the more popular students for Slytherin and not for good reasons.

For seven years at Hogwarts, Danny was constantly in detention for getting himself into trouble for one thing or another. Whether it was for pranks he pulled, fights he got into, ditching class or sneaking out of school, Danny was always being punished for his actions. His parents were always receiving owls from the Headmaster, informing them of their son’s ill behavior. However, things would only get worse for them when Danny entered his 6th year.

Towards the end of Danny’s Hogwarts career, he found fun in other ways – mostly through substances that left him feeling delusional, mellow and sometimes hyperactive. During the summer holidays leading into his 7th year, Danny rarely spent a hot day or night sober – he was usually and quite literally, out of his mind. There were many wild nights that today, he can barely recall. This was the summer that his father kicked him out of the house. Left with no where to go, Danny turned to the one person he always trusted the most – Alecto Carrow. She was his first and only girlfriend, his first lay and his first and only ex-girlfriend. Many nights were spent in the Carrow home, quietly and stealthly entering through Ally’s bedroom window and sharing a bed with her for the night. It was through this ordeal that the two rekindle a rather silent yearning for each other, progressing their friendship into something more involved – friends with benefits.

By the end of his 7th year, Dan didn’t know what he wanted to do with his life. While he managed to gain average marks in most of his classes, it was Charms that he seemed to excel in. However, he hadn’t a clue what he could do with such a skill. Shortly after leaving school, he decided to work for his father in the trade industry – connecting companies and individuals together, negotiating price of bulk items and single costly objects. There was so much his father was responsible for and all as a middle man of sorts collecting a hefty profit from both parties involved. Months into this particular work, Danny was introduced to a group of men whose sole job was breaking into various places, stealing expensive things then bringing the goods in to pack up for trade. This seemed to bring in quite the salary as well as these men had a very dangerous job, not to mention, it was their skill with the use of Charms that helped them to escape without a trace. The very idea was a thrill for Danny – the danger of getting caught, the precision of the work to keep the job clean of any evidence, the intensity of breaking down spells placed upon buildings for protection and tricky locks that prevented easy entry all seemed so intriguing for Danny. He knew immediately that becoming a thief for trade was something he could really get into. After a brief discussion with his father, he ditched the suit and went to work with a crafty group of men whom all called his father their boss.

1. Danny's grandfather on his mother's side owns a well known horse farm. Because of this, Danny knows how to ride and is actually very good at it.

2. Danny can only make tea and his favorite kind of sandwich (roast beef, turkey and swiss cheese with lettuce, tomato and pickles on wheat) which he typically prefers after sex.

3. Danny is head over heels in love with Alecto Carrow (though he is not yet aware of this).
